After the failure of the electronics in the 3rd iteration of the bottle rocket launchers, it was decided to develop the 4th with intention of using a traditional lighter. The launcher has 3 parts; a ~2 inch long 1 inch wide PVC pipe, a plastic end piece, and a plastic tube from the center of a mechanical pencil.
The device was constructed on the early morning of Sunday, the 9th of July of 2023, and was later tested on the 14th of July. The tests were successful, and two of them were recorded and are documented in the video below.
Coming Soon
The biggest issue with v.4 is the bulky circular barrel. The next version, v.5, will hopefull improve upon this, likely with a flask-like shape, and in a later iteration, the empty space inside of the flask may be used to store electronics, hopefully reinstating the arc lighter design.
